Understanding Generational Differences
Over the past several years, it has become increasingly apparent that dramatic differences exist in the foodservice behaviors and attitudes shown by different consumer age groups.
While it may seem to be common sense that an 18-year-old high school senior and a 72-year-old retiree view foodservice differently, the breadth and depth of differences between each consumer generation is still striking. Understanding these differences can help foodservice distributors better service their customers by highlighting products that fit into that customer’s concept and specific target audience.
IFDA and Technomic explore these differences in this report.
